2024 VGB Kid Market

Second Annual Village Green Bakery Kids Market

Sunday - July 21 (11 to 2 pm)

& August 11th (time TBD)

Village Green Bakery GREEN Space

Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2024 Kids Markets.

We are once again looking for Junior Entrepreneurs (under the age of 14) for the Second Annual VGB Kids Market.

Due to popularity & interest we will be host TWO markets for our junior crafters, artists, sign makers, jewelry designers, tennis/golf ball re-sellers, bakers, weavers, knitters, collectors and all other creative ideas that they would like to make/bring/promote and sell.

We want to encourage creativity and entrepreneurial spirit by giving the kids a platform (or at least a five foot square of green space) to set up their table and sell their ‘stuff’.

Much like a ‘grown up country market’ the participants should bring signage, smiles and their ‘stuff’ to sell to their community.

Jen will be on hand through out the summer to help in any way in supporting their ideas and marketing efforts….but it is up to the Junior Entreprenuers to ‘make their stuff’….and no your family shouldn’t be outsourced labour.

Parents / Family - of course you can help, just remember this is about the kiddos. If they make only five items to sell…so be it. They did it on their own !

Leading up to the big Day Jen and her team will actively promote the market in the bakery and on social media to help bring in the huge crowds to check out your ‘stuff’ and help support your sales. The goal is to have FUN!! If you sell nothing or if you sell everything it is about the experience…..for both you and VGB.

What If’s….

What if my Junior Entrepreneur only makes 2 things and still wants to set up shop? GO FOR IT!!

What if we sign up but then decide we/they don’t want to do it? At this time no refunds. The registration fee is to teach accountability and responsibility.

What if I want to submit four kids for one table? Team Effort - love it! Only one entry fee per booth. My hope though the work is equal and the profits are equal.

What if my JE is 15 and wants to participant? I am sure we can make that work. Let’s chat.

What if I the Manager (aka an Adult) ends up doing all the work? Well then - who’s market is it? I hope your kiddo at least helped a lot.

What if we make over $50??!!! OMG that would be amazing and whoop well done!

What if I make $5??!! OMG that would be amazing and whoop well done.

What if I want to sell my baking - will Jen be mad? Warning there is a good chance she and her family will buy your goodies and put you on the hire list when you are older :)

What if sell nothing? Did you have fun? Did you meet anyone new? Did you get to participate in a kids fair at VB? This fair is about getting whatever you can out of it. There is no competition on ‘who sold more’. Isn’t it just great to say that you were there?!

What if I don’t have a booth - can I still come to the fair? Heck ya!! We need customers!!! Bring your whole family and your neighbors. Come out and support your community / friends.

What If we have too much stuff to carry - can we have our Manager drive in our ‘stuff’ on a Special Pass? Nope - sorry. Taxis, Bike, Walk, Wagon - let’s creative. Everyone is welcome - but driving in is not an option during the summer.

What if we want to participate in both dates and do the same - or something different? Happy to have you at both events. The registration fee is per event - so you will have to pay for both.

What if I need more space? Let’s encourage you to be creative and stick to your five foot front — you can always go long out the back of your space. Another option is too book two sites - and we will ensure they are beside each other. Our goal is too keep it ‘equal’ amongst all participants. It is up to you to make your space creative, inviting and fun!

What if I am not from VB? All kids are welcome to sign up and join us.

What if I just want to come to the Market to shop? Come one Come all! The more the merrier — there is NO Entrance Fee to visit the Kids Market. If you are not familiar with Victoria Beach you will need to park your car at the game for a fee and walk or bike in. Day passes are available.
